LA lesson- tue, 2/2/10

We did collaborative writing among our whole class as a practice for the narrative writing assignment 2.

Homework for today:
  1. Please prepare your Narrative Writing Assignment by next friday, 12/2/10, as we are going to do it in class. (Essay skeleton or plan)

Here are the topics for the Narrative Writing assignment 2: ( In case you do not know)

  1. Write a short story entitled, ' The Sacrifice'.
  2. Write a sequel to a fairytale of your choice from the perspective of the 'villian' in the original story. For example, if you choose to write a sequel to ' Cinderella', you can choose to write from the point of view of the stepmother or one of the stepsisters.
  3. People often say, 'You never guess who I bumped into today...'. Chance meetings can make very interesting experiences. Write a story based on a memorable chance meeting.
  4. Write a story entitled, ' The untold story'. Your story must not be a ghost story. Emphasis should either be given to the setting to create appropriate mood/atmosphere and/ or characterisation.
  5. Write a story ( of your choice ) which has an unexpected/ unusual twist at the end.
  6. It is not always easy to be ourselves, especially when we are worried about what others may think of us. Write a short story about a time you pretended to be someone you were not and the consequences you had to face.
